Round BBQ cover or rectangular gas cover

Updated: 22 October 2026

You searched for a barbecue cover and the basket mixed a 73 cm circle with a 145 cm rectangle, and both pages mention Weber. Those are different cuts. A round BBQ cover or rectangular gas cover is a shape decision first. If the barbecue is a 57 cm kettle, start with a round cover. If it has side shelves on a trolley, start with a rectangle. The [barbecue cover comparison](/hub/grill-accessories/barbecue-cover) can then be read with that shape in mind. Peter F. separated the twelve listings by cut on 19 October 2026. When the cover should be round

A kettle is a round lid on a bowl, usually without the long side shelves of a gas trolley. The cover has to drop over that dome and cinch under the bowl. A rectangular sheet leaves gaps the wind can catch. In this set there is one round cover. The title says RICHIE and the brand field says PJDH, model DHKBC73EU-4BK. It is £13.99, 260 g, 420D PU-lined Oxford, with a drawstring. The title size is 73 × 71 cm and the item line is 73 × 73 × 71 cm. It is 4.5 from 450 ratings. One review says the cords do not hold and the cover blows off. The title also says gas grill. That word does not turn a round cut into a cover for a four-burner. Weber’s own 57 cm charcoal cover, part 7176, was £39.99, polyester described as breathable and water-resistant. Premium 57 cm covers were listed at £68.99, and a different lid can need a different code. Skip the 73 cm cover if you need the official Weber cloth, if 260 g is too light for your plot, or if what you own is a trolley with shelves.

When the cover should be a rectangle

A gas trolley is a box: lid, cabinet, and shelves. The cover is a rectangle in centimetres of length, depth, and height. In this set the mid lengths cluster around 132–147 cm. GrillTough’s title is 147 cm, YOTOM is 147 cm with agreeing lines, Kauytt is 145 cm with agreeing lines, and Grillman and RICHIE and the shorter BEEWAY use a 132 cm title. Those sheets are aimed at a full trolley, and they are the wrong family for a 57 cm kettle. Shorter rectangles are a second group. Flintronic’s title is 76 × 66 × 110 cm. KHAMAL is 77 × 70 × 110 cm. Ezilif’s short size is 90 × 70 × 110 cm. One KHAMAL review says a kettle’s legs and fat bucket stayed out in the weather. Use a short rectangle for a short barbecue you have measured near 76–90 cm. The tape itself is on how to measure a BBQ for a cover.

Wide rectangles

Longer rectangles are Ezilif at 165 × 70 × 125 cm and BEEWAY at 170 × 61 × 120 cm. They are for a wide trolley, and they are spare cloth on a two-burner. Both of those brands also sell the other length under a shared star line, so the 4.6 from 735 and the 4.4 from 4,563 are family figures, not proof that 170 cm was reviewed separately from 132 cm.

What “fits Weber” does not decide

Weber on a bullet is an example, printed on the round cover and on long rectangles alike. It does not make a 73 cm circle and a 170 cm sheet interchangeable. Spirit covers on Weber’s UK pages were £94.99 and £114.99 for named series. A universal listing between £7.99 and £34.99 is a centimetre box from another brand. GrillTough’s brand field is GrillTough, model GC003. Kamado barbecues are a third shape, and none of the twelve covers is a kamado shell. If you smell gas, or a cover would have to be cut around a hose, stop. Choose the round 73 cm cover when the barbecue is a kettle. The top pick is a rectangle, GrillTough, so it is the wrong badge if you came here with a kettle. Which listing carries that badge is on best BBQ cover UK.

Common questions

Can you put a rectangular cover on a kettle?
You can drape one over the lid, and it will not follow the bowl. The corners stick out, the hem does not cinch under a round body, and wind gets in at the gaps. Use the round cover in this set, about 73 cm, or Weber’s own 57 cm cover if that is the kettle you own.
What does Weber charge for a 57 cm cover?
Weber’s UK page for the 57 cm charcoal cover, part 7176, showed £39.99. The cloth is described as polyester, breathable and water-resistant, for 57 cm Weber charcoal barbecues. Premium 57 cm covers were listed at £68.99, and a different lid can need a different code.
Which covers here are for a short barbecue rather than a four-burner?
Flintronic’s title is 76 cm, KHAMAL is 77 cm, and the shorter Ezilif is 90 cm. Those are the short rectangles. The round cover is the kettle option, not a short gas trolley. Mid trolley covers sit around 132–147 cm, and the wide sheets are 165 cm and 170 cm.
Does a gas barbecue ever need a round cover?
Not when it is a trolley with side shelves. The outline is a rectangle even if the lid is domed. A small gas barbecue without shelves, measured near 76–90 cm, can use a short rectangle. The round cover in this set is cut for a kettle around the 73 cm line.
What is a kamado cover, and is one in this set?
A kamado is a ceramic egg, and its cover is shaped for that shell, often with a different hem from a kettle dome. No kamado cover is in these twelve listings. The round RICHIE / PJDH cover is a kettle sheet at about 73 cm.
