Germany flag for football

Updated: 20 October 2026

You are dressing a pub, a garden screening, or your own hand for a Germany match, and the shops still file the cloth under a World Cup that has already been played. A Germany flag football buy in October 2026 is for a Bundesliga night, a friendly, or a supporters’ club, not for a tournament that is still ahead. Listings were read on 19 October 2026. What a football flag is for now

Germany’s group games were on 14, 20, and 25 June 2026. They went out on 29 June 2026 after penalties against Paraguay. Buy the flag because people will watch a match, not because a competition is still coming. A plain 5x3 hangs on a wall or a fence. Sticks go into hands. A 15 cm desk flag is useless in a crowd. This page stays with the plain cloth. An eagle is not required for supporters to recognise the colours.

Wall flag or sticks

If the flag will hang after you let go, buy a plain 5x3. The plain SHATCHI was £3.69, at 50 g, with two eyelets. Both faces are not confirmed. 1ABOVE at £4.99 claims both faces, and it is the better hang if both sides of a pub window will be seen. If people will wave the flag, buy the yayafunfun sticks at £3.99, titled as ten flags of about 14 cm by 21 cm. A bullet still says “[Country]”, and two UK reviews found nine flags. Runesol’s four eyelets are for a railing, not for waving.

What is not in the box

No 5x3 here includes a pole. If you do not already have a bracket, a fence, or a rope, the flag stays in the bag. The sticks are 30 cm hollow plastic. Open the pack before the guests arrive and check black, red, and gold. The yayafunfun line is 4.5 from 174 and names other countries, so the stars will not replace a missing flag. If only one face is printed, turn the better face towards the crowd.

Outside the pub or the house

A plain flag in a house garden can sit in the no-consent class if it stays safe and tidy, the owner agrees, and nothing extra is printed on it. A pub front needs the building owner’s permission and must not cover a road sign. Do not swap in the eagle because it looks like a team badge. Take a 50 g flag down if the wind rises. The hoist is on the how to fly a German flag page. Fold the cloth dry, and ask before you drill a rented front.

Hang it or hand it out

Buy a plain 5x3 if the flag stays up after you let go, and buy sticks if people will wave them. Use 1ABOVE when both sides of a window show, and the plain SHATCHI for one light evening. Count the sticks first, and keep the cloth plain.

Common questions

Do I want a flag on the pub wall or flags in people’s hands?
Buy a plain 5x3 if the flag will hang on a wall, a fence, or a pole after you let go. Buy the stick pack if people will wave it. They are different products. The plain SHATCHI at £3.69 is the cheap hanging flag in this set, and yayafunfun at £3.99 is the only hand pack here. A 15 cm desk flag is a third object, for a table indoors, and it will not do either of those jobs.
Does the 5x3 include a pole for the beer garden?
No. The garden flags here are the cloth and the eyelets. You need a pole, a bracket, a fence, or a rope you already have. The plastic base in the AZ FLAG box is for a desk. The 30 cm sticks in the ten-pack are for hands. If the screening has nowhere to tie a 5x3, order the sticks, or sort the fixing before kick-off.
Will ten sticks be enough, and might the pack be short?
The yayafunfun title says ten flags. Two UK reviews of that parent say the bag had ten sticks and only nine flags. Count them when you open the parcel, not when the room is full. The sticks are hollow plastic. One buyer reinforced them before they survived wind. A bullet still says “[Country]”, so check that the cloth is black, red, and gold before you hand them out.
Is it still worth buying because of the 2026 World Cup?
Only if you want the flag for matches you will actually watch. Germany’s group games were on 14, 20, and 25 June 2026, and they went out on 29 June 2026 after penalties against Paraguay. The tournament is not still ahead. A pub night or a Bundesliga screening is a sound reason to buy a plain flag or a stick pack. A countdown to a World Cup that has finished is not.
Are the star counts reviews of the Germany design?
Often they are not. SHATCHI’s 2,392, Runesol’s 9,944, and the yayafunfun 174 include reviews that name other countries. Use them as a parent reputation. For a match day, open the bag and check the stripes, the eyelet count, and how many sticks you actually received. A high star line does not replace a missing flag or a pole that was never in the box.
