Removal blankets buying guide

Updated: 23 October 2026

You are about to pay for blankets on amazon.co.uk, and the title already sounds finished: a size, a pack, and a fibre. A removal blankets buying guide is the four lines you read before that basket. On 21 October 2026 the Products Compared editorial team compared five saved listings, with prices in pounds and the clashes written on the pages. This is not a lab test of thickness. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The grid is the [moving blanket comparison](/hub/diy-supplies/moving-blanket). Named jobs are a different page. This one only asks whether the listing hangs together.

The four lines that have to agree

Read the stated size, the pack count, the fibre words, and the item weight as four separate sentences. If two of them fight, the title is doing work the page has not earned. Evo Supplies and Sunrise Packaging describe a wool-mix transit blanket at about 150 cm × 200 cm and about 1 kg. Evo publishes a blend for its own cloth only, about 25–30% wool. Sunrise lists its own blanket at £8.99. Those pages are a size you can recognise. They are not a fibre certificate you can paste onto an Amazon row. A 200 × 150 cm title is the same rectangle turned the other way. It is a fair furniture cloth only when the pack count and the weight sit beside it without a contradiction. If the weight field is a tenth of what about 1 kg each would imply, do not treat ten blankets as ten kilograms of cloth.

Two Triplast packs, one review pool

The Triplast 4-pack is the row where the weight agrees. You pay £14.99 for four blankets stated at 150 × 200 cm, ±5%, about 1 kg each, and the item weight is 4 kg. The bullets say wool mixture, cross-stitch, and hemmed edges. They do not give a percentage of wool. The style name says Single, which fights a pack-of-4 title, so you still open the live size name on the day you order. The 10-pack repeats that wording: grey/brown, made in Turkey, model RMAM279010 rather than TP_REMBLNKT_PACKOF4. The price is £34.39, about £3.44 a blanket against about £3.75 on the 4-pack. The item-weight field says 1 kg. Ten pieces at about 1 kg each cannot also be a 1 kg pack. Both rows show 4.6 from 734 reviews, and the first 50 United Kingdom texts are the same sequence. Count that pool once. There is no wash instruction on either pack.

One pad with two weights

BEIBOON is the only single pad, at £16.99, so it is the dearest per blanket in the five. The title says 102 × 193 cm. The bullets say 40 × 72 inches, which is about 102 × 183 cm, blue polyester, 2.7 pounds, recycled quilted padding, and a double-sided cloth for sliding. The item line says 183 × 102 cm and 810 g. 2.7 pounds is about 1.22 kg, so the weight lines disagree by roughly 400 g. The uses field says camping. The water-resistance field says not water resistant. Machine wash is stated. There is no fire class. The star line is 4.4 from 139 reviews, the smallest sample here. Some buyers call the pad thick enough for a fridge or a move, and several call it too thin and send it back. The saved listing says one: style name pack of 1, unit count 1.

An uncertain fibre and a shared photo

GOKAY’s 10-pack is £24.49 for ten blankets stated at 200 × 150 cm, item weight 10 kg, which is about £2.45 a piece. The material field says the cloth is probably polyester or a polyester blend. The product-type field says towel, which fights a furniture-blanket title. Care is printed: 30–40°C, no bleach, low tumble or flat dry, no iron. Probably is not a percentage. Reviews praise thickness for furniture and white goods, and they also mention fluff, a slight smell, and a warning that over-washing makes them come apart. Trojan’s 5-pack is £16.85 for five grey blankets at 200 × 150 cm. The material field says fabric. The bullets claim quilted stitching and that five cloths suit a typical 1–2 bedroom move. That bedroom line is seller copy, and there is no item weight. The saved image is the same file as GOKAY’s. Treat it as one photograph on two listings. A different Trojan 10-pack is not this listing.

What the law can and cannot do

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says goods must be of satisfactory quality and must match the description. If the title says ten blankets and one arrives, or the size name you relied on is not what is in the parcel, that is a description problem you can raise with the seller. It does not turn a thin pad into a thick one after you have loaded the van. Open the live page on the day you pay. Prices on 21 October 2026 were £14.99, £16.85, £16.99, £24.49, and £34.39. A later shelf price can move. Nothing in these five listings states a fire class, and BEIBOON states that it is not water resistant. A shared photograph does not void an order by itself. If the four lines agree and you still need a count of sofas and wardrobes, that job is how many moving blankets. If they do not agree, walk away from that row.

Common questions

What size should a UK removal blanket be?
Trade pages from Evo Supplies and Sunrise Packaging describe a wool-mix transit blanket at about 150 cm × 200 cm and about 1 kg. In this set the Triplast packs use that size, with a ±5% line. GOKAY and Trojan state 200 × 150 cm, the same rectangle the other way. BEIBOON’s bullets say 40 × 72 inches, about 102 × 183 cm, which is a smaller pad. There is no British Standard number here that makes one of those sizes compulsory. Match the size to the piece you are covering, and only after the listing’s own size fields agree.
Why does the item weight say 1 kg on a pack of ten?
On Triplast’s 10-pack the bullets say about 1 kg each and the item-weight field says 1 kg. Those two lines cannot both be the pack weight. The 4-pack is the row that agrees: about 1 kg each and a 4 kg item weight. Do not average the 10-pack into probably 10 kg. Read it as a clash, and do not use that 1 kg figure to compare grams with GOKAY’s 10 kg pack weight.
Is wool a percentage?
Not on these Amazon rows. Triplast says wool mixture and does not print a split. Evo Supplies publishes about 25–30% wool for its own transit blanket, with cotton and acrylic or polyester beside it. That split belongs to Evo’s cloth. It is not a hidden label on Triplast. If you need a stated percentage, these five listings do not give you one.
The title says blankets and I received one. What now?
BEIBOON’s saved listing says one pad: unit count 1, style name pack of 1, £16.99. Reviews say the wording looked plural. If the live page you bought from promised a pack and a single pad arrived, section 11 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 is about goods matching the description. Photograph the parcel and the size name you ordered. Check that size name before you pay, because several buyers only noticed the singular after delivery.
Are these fireproof or waterproof?
No listing in this set states a fire class. BEIBOON’s water-resistance field says not water resistant, even though the bullets talk about a quilted pad you might take outside. Do not hang any of these cloths as a fire barrier. Machine wash is stated only where the page says it: GOKAY prints 30–40°C, and BEIBOON says machine wash. Triplast prints neither a temperature nor a waterproof claim.
The photo looks like another brand. Does that void the order?
GOKAY and Trojan share one saved image. That is one Amazon photograph on two listings. It does not prove the cloths are the same product, and it does not by itself cancel the contract. It does mean you cannot tell them apart from the picture. GOKAY is ten blankets at £24.49 with a probably polyester line. Trojan is five at £16.85 with a fabric field and a quilted-stitching claim. If the live photo is still that shared file, judge the words, not the pixels.
