Furniture feet for laminate

Updated: 23 October 2026

You have laminate or luxury vinyl down, and the next thing to touch it is a furniture foot the listing calls rubber or plastic. Furniture feet for laminate are a material question before they are a pack-size question. Quick-Step asks for felt or soft plastic. Amtico tells you to keep rubber off luxury vinyl. Hard plastic feet in this set are the ones UK reviews call slippery. Peter F. set those rules against the nine listings on the [Furniture feet](/hub/diy-supplies/furniture-feet) page on 21 October 2026. No lab test was run. What laminate and luxury vinyl ask for

Quick-Step’s UK laminate FAQ says felt or soft plastic under furniture feet, and it tells you to lift rather than drag. It does not name any ASIN here. Amtico says rubber-backed mats can stain luxury vinyl, and the wear-and-care leaflet tells you to avoid rubber on furniture bases. Karndean asks for felt pads and says not to drag. A warranty PDF effective 28 January 2026 is not an approval of any foot in this set. The best-value bumper is a skip on vinyl for that reason, which best furniture feet already conditions.

Rubber, hard plastic, and words that disagree

NUTKIT’s 30 × 30 × 10 mm feet say rubber in the bullets and ABS in the material field. UK reviews describe rubber or rubbery plastic. If the foot is rubber, Amtico tells you to keep it off luxury vinyl. Section 11 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says goods must match the description, so both words stay. On Quick-Step laminate, rubber is not the felt or soft plastic asked for. pafnisoin’s title says rubber and UK reviews say hard plastic that slides. The NUTKIT polypropylene pack slides on laminate in UK reviews, and this page does not call it soft plastic. ANBEEISS claims rubber pads, the same Amtico problem. Nylon on a Bujingyun review is not felt.

What this comparison will not add for you

Stick-on felt and castor cups were removed because they are a different product. Quick-Step, Amtico and Karndean can still tell you to use felt. That does not put a felt pack into this table, and a screw-on bumper is not that felt. If you need felt under a sofa leg, you are buying a product this page does not rank. Amtico suggests cups for heavy loads. Do not read a 300 kg or 500 kg line with no method as that advice. None of the nine was tested on a named floor.

Lift the furniture, and do not trust an outdoor line

Quick-Step and Amtico both say lift rather than drag. Fit the feet with the piece on its back, the way how to fit furniture feet describes, then lift it into place. Felt from outside this comparison goes on before that move. A garden line is not a laminate test. UK reviews that mention garden benches are evidence about benches. Plinths that hide feet are on furniture feet for kitchen cabinets. If the title and the reviews disagree, skip the foot on the floor the worse word would harm.

Common questions

What should touch a laminate floor under a furniture foot?
Quick-Step’s UK laminate FAQ asks for felt or soft plastic under furniture feet, to limit scratches. The living-room page adds felt under sofa, chair and table legs. Karndean also asks for felt pads. Hard plastic feet in this comparison are the ones UK reviews call slippery, and stick-on felt was removed from the table. A screw-on bumper is not automatically the felt Quick-Step describes.
Can I use rubber furniture feet on luxury vinyl?
Amtico’s cleaning FAQ and wear-and-care leaflet tell you to avoid rubber, including rubber-backed mats and furniture bases, because it can stain luxury vinyl. NUTKIT’s bumper at about £5.99 says rubber in the bullets and ABS in the material field, and UK reviews describe rubber or rubbery plastic. ANBEEISS claims rubber pads. Keep those feet off Amtico-style luxury vinyl unless you have established the contact is not rubber. This page does not clear them.
Are hard plastic feet a problem on laminate?
UK reviews in this set call hard plastic feet slippery, including the NUTKIT polypropylene pack on laminate and pafnisoin’s feet where reviewers say hard plastic rather than the rubber in the title. Quick-Step asks for felt or soft plastic, and this page does not class that polypropylene pack as soft plastic. Slippery hard plastic can also scratch if you drag the furniture. Lift it, and treat hard plastic as a poor match for the Quick-Step line.
Do these amazon.co.uk feet already include felt?
No pack in this comparison is a felt pad. Stick-on felt, silicone socks and castor cups were removed as different products. SUMNACON’s 5 cm sofa foot is plastic. Bujingyun draws a review that mentions nylon, which is not felt. If your floor maker requires felt, you add a felt product from outside this table, or you choose a foot whose contact the maker allows. The main comparison does not hide a felt row.
The title says rubber and the reviews say plastic. Which do I believe for the floor?
Believe the clash. pafnisoin’s title says rubber and UK reviews say hard plastic that can slide. NUTKIT’s bullets say rubber, the material field says ABS, and reviews say rubber or rubbery plastic. For Amtico, the rubber word is enough reason to keep the foot off the vinyl until you know what arrived. For Quick-Step, hard plastic still fails the felt or soft plastic request. Section 11 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 is why the description has to match.
Does a garden claim mean the foot is safe indoors on laminate?
It means the listing, or a review, mentions outdoor furniture. NUTKIT reviews mention garden benches. Panexf and pafnisoin name garden furniture in bullets. That is not a Quick-Step scratch test and not an Amtico stain test. Use the floor maker’s contact rule for the room the furniture stands in. A patio bench and a laminate living room are different floors, even when the same screw-on foot appears in both searches.
