Best wall filler UK

Updated: 23 October 2026

You have one room to decorate and eight amazon.co.uk listings that all call themselves filler. The best wall filler UK, on this page, means the captured listing that matches the hole you have, including the conflicts printed on that listing. Shallow cracks, a small kit, a deep interior hole and a plasterboard joint are four different buys. The [dry fill comparison](/hub/diy-supplies/dry-fill) holds the scores, the shelf prices in GBP, and the review counts. Peter F. used those captures and the makers' UK sheets on 21 October 2026. We did not run a lab test. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Shallow cracks and a low budget

Langlow Quick Dry Fine Surface Filler is the best value in this set for hairline cracks and shallow interior dents. The title says a pack of 2 at 600 g each. The same file also says item weight 650 g, a unit count of 1,200 g, volume 240 ml, and a container of tube, while the reviews describe tubs with lids. Open the parcel before you assume two intact tubs arrived. The Palace sheet limits a layer to not more than 3 mm, and a through-cure can take up to 24 hours.

A small ready-mixed job

The Decex kit is £13.90 for a 396 g ready-mixed tube, a scraper and a 120 grit block. The bullets say holes up to 10 mm, indoors and outdoors. The brand field says Decex and the tube is named Polycell Polyfilla. Fifteen reviews sit at 4.6, and the six UK texts name no fault. Nobody in that sample discusses outdoor use or the 10 mm claim. It suits a few hooks when you want the tools in the box. Fome Flex Finish is £9.99 from six reviews, the volume field says 6 ml against 240 g, and an English review says it is hard to push out.

A deep interior hole

Toupret Interior Filler is the powder for a deep hole in sound interior plaster. The bullets say no depth limit and paint after 12–24 hours. The UK sheet is 500 ml of water per 1 kg, a working time of 30–40 minutes, and no use below 8°C or over 70% relative humidity. The amazon page does not print that ratio. Sika One Strike is the lightweight ready-mixed paste with the largest review sample here, which is why it is the top pick for a paste you will not drill. The 75 mm by 50 mm figure is on the Sika sheet, not in the bullets. The brand field says goods4less. Reviews describe a soft centre under a dry skin.

Board joints, not a tube

Toupret joint and skim is the 10 kg ready-mixed paste at £27.69. Buyers use it on joints, edges and screw holes. The bullets say sand and paint within 12–24 hours and limit the no-crack claim to 5 mm, while the title says quick dry. The capture does not state BS EN 13963. Do not copy that standard from a powder of a similar name. A 396 g tube will not joint a wall of boards. Zawan is £21.00 with no star line and no depth. Interior Filler and the 10 kg pail both show 116 reviews. That is two listings, not one test. A hole that opens onto a void is the plasterboard page. The checks before these names are the wall filler buying guide.

Common questions

Which listing is for picture hooks and hairline cracks?
Langlow at £2.50 is the fine interior paste with the large review count, if you accept layers of not more than 3 mm and you check the lids. The Decex 396 g kit at £13.90 adds a scraper and a sanding block, on only 15 reviews, with a 10 mm bullet. Either is closer to a hook than the 10 kg joint pail. A deep crater is Interior Filler or, with the sheet in mind, One Strike.
Which listing is for a deep hole in sound interior plaster?
Toupret Interior Filler, the 1 kg powder at £8.75, states no depth limit in the bullets and a 12–24 hour paint window. You mix it and use it within 30–40 minutes on the UK sheet. One Strike at £7.90 is the ready-mixed lightweight paste with 5,587 reviews, and the 75 mm figure is on the Sika sheet, not the bullets. Reviews report a soft centre if the fill is deep. Neither is a plug you then drill into.
Is the cheapest tub the one to buy for a whole wall?
Langlow at £2.50 is cheap because it is a fine surface filler, and the sheet stops a layer at 3 mm. A whole wall of joints is the 10 kg Toupret ready-mixed capture at £27.69, with a 5 mm no-crack line and a 12–24 hour wait. Price per tub is not price per job. The cheap pack also has a pack-count conflict, so two tubs for £2.50 is what the title says, not what every field confirms.
Can I trust the One Strike quick-drying line for 75 mm?
The amazon attributes do not print 75 mm or a minute count. The Sika sheet says up to 75 mm deep and 50 mm wide, and about 30 minutes at 20°C and 50% relative humidity. UK reviews describe deep fills that skinned over and stayed soft, including about 3 cm left for weeks. Treat 75 mm as a sheet limit in a warm room, not as a promise that a cold, deep hole is paint-ready in half an hour.
Why do two Toupret listings share 116 reviews and different jobs?
Interior Filler (B097DWRFR7) and the 10 kg joint and skim (B097DXTCD2) each show 116 reviews in this capture. They are different products: a 1 kg powder with a no-depth bullet, and a 10 kg ready-mixed paste with a 5 mm no-crack line. Quick Fill is a third listing, at 113 reviews. Do not merge the star lines into one verdict, and do not copy a powder data sheet onto the ready-mixed pail.
