Honeywell fan UK: which check comes first

Updated: 21 October 2026

You have a hot room, a British socket, and three Honeywell names on amazon.co.uk that do not share a plug. A honeywell fan uk search turns up the blue TurboForce HT900NE1 at about £47.52, the white mini USB HTF090WERI at about £19.90, and the personal QuietSet HTF210B at about £95.84. The order of the checks is the job, then the voltage and the plug, then noise and oscillation. The three-row table, with scores, sits on the [Honeywell fan comparison](/hub/cooling/honeywell-fan). This page does not crown a winner and it does not walk you through cleaning. Peter F. used those listings and public UK sources on 20 October 2026. There was no lab measurement of airflow. Start with the job

The first split is what the air has to do. A desk blast is the TurboForce: three speeds, a tilt, and 50 W on this blue plate. A bag is the HTF090WERI, about 220 g, USB or AA, and one speed in the table. A nightstand that needs a timer is the QuietSet idea, and the HTF210B fails the supply check that comes next. Treat 4.5 from 28,761 reviews as the same pool as the black HT900E. The QuietSet’s 23,448 reviews are not from UK buyers. None of those numbers says the plug fits a 13 A socket. The best Honeywell fan page is the conditioned pick after that gate.

Read the plug and the voltage

UK mains are 230 V. A domestic appliance for a BS 1363 socket needs a correctly fitted UK plug, or a non-UK plug with a BS 1362 fuse in a conversion plug. That is regulation 35 of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016. The HT900NE1 connector is Type E, a French Schuko pattern, and the voltage cell is empty. Until the photographs show otherwise, it is not a finished UK socket story. Do not copy a black HT900 page that prints 240 V. The HTF210B reads 110–120 V and UL. Do not put it on UK mains, and do not use a transformer to rescue the about £95.84 price. The UK and EU personal model is the HTF210BE. A sold-out HTF210BEV1 around £28.95 shows why that price is a poor guide to a UK QuietSet. The mini is USB or AA at 2 W, with a barrel lead in the reviews. Believe the photograph if it disagrees with the connector line.

Tilt, noise, and the watts on that page

Tilt and oscillation are not the same movement. The blue title offers a 90° tilt, and a bullet talks about a 90° oscillating head. UK reviews say the head does not sweep, and that the tilt goes up rather than down. Currys lists the black HT900 as oscillation No, at 35 W and £28.99. Ideal Home’s family write-up is a 40 W box. This listing prints 50 W. Quote the page you are buying. Speeds 2 and 3 are the loud ones, and the blue page has no decibel cell. Energy Saving Trust puts a day of fan use in Great Britain at about £0.14–£0.30, because a fan moves air and does not remove heat. GOV.UK says use a fan below 35°C and do not aim it at your body for long. The TurboForce versus QuietSet page stays on those two machines.

Which row is left

The mini is the row you can still consider for a bag or a desk without a mains-plug argument. It will not feel like a TurboForce. Keep the HT900NE1 only when the photographs match a UK socket or a proper conversion plug. If the job was a nightstand with a timer, leave the HTF210B. A 110–120 V personal fan is not the UK sleep fan. Stop when the cable or plug is damaged, the unit smells of burning, or it has been wet. Do not cut a moulded lead to invent a UK plug. An OPSS alert is a stop as well. None of these rows lowers the room temperature by a stated number of degrees.

Common questions

Does the blue HT900NE1 come with a UK plug?
The connector line on this listing is Type E, a French Schuko pattern, and there is no voltage cell and no BS 1363 line. A black HT900 page that prints 240 V is a different ASIN. Check the photograph of the pins on the blue listing before you treat it as a UK socket fan.
Can the HTF210B at about £95.84 go on a UK socket?
No. The voltage line reads 110–120 V and the certification line is UL. Do not connect it to UK mains, and do not buy a transformer to force the issue. The about £95.84 figure is what other sellers asked for this ASIN. It is a poor guide to the price of a 230 V QuietSet.
Does the TurboForce oscillate, or only tilt?
The blue listing says oscillating, including a 90° oscillating-head bullet. UK reviews of that file say the head does not sweep from side to side. What you can aim is the tilt, and those reviews say it goes up rather than down. Currys marks oscillation No on the black HT900, which is a different listing and the same family warning.
Why do other HT900 pages say 30 W, 35 W, or 40 W when this one says 50 W?
They are not the same plate. Currys prints 35 W for the black HT900, and an Ideal Home box prints 40 W for a TurboForce they tried. This blue amazon.co.uk listing prints 50 W. Use the wattage on the page you are paying for, and do not blend those figures.
Is the mini USB a smaller TurboForce?
It is a Honeywell fan, and it is not a small version of the 50 W circulator. One speed, 2 W, USB or AA, and a short personal reach are the limits. At about £19.90 it can be the right spend for a face breeze, and it will disappoint you if you wanted the TurboForce blast in a lighter box.
