Nilfisk pressure washer buying guide

Updated: 21.10.2026

You are comparing four Nilfisk pressure washers on amazon.co.uk, and the bar figure in the title is the easy number to misread. Hose length, the flow pair and whether the title matches the bullet decide if that bar is usable on a patio or a car. This buying guide puts those checks in order for the Core 125, the Core 150, the E 145.4 and the Excellent 160, as the listings and the Nilfisk shop stood on 19 October 2026. The [Nilfisk pressure washer comparison](/hub/compressors/nilfisk-pressure-washer) is the four-row table. This page does not name a winner. The figures are listing and shop claims, not a lab test.

Read the order number before the star rating

Start with the order number. A star rating does not tell you which machine is in the carton. The Core 125-5 UK is 128471283: 125 bar, 1,400 W, a 5 m hose, £115.99 on both Amazon and the shop. The Core 150-10 is 128471331: 150 bar, 2,000 W, a 10 m reel and a metal pump, at £202.79 against £235.99 in the shop. The E 145.4 is 128471186 at £299.00, with 145 bar and a 2,100 W induction motor, and it is not on the current Core, Excellent and Premium collection. The Excellent 160, order 128471413, prints 2,300 W in the title and Excellent 170-10 at 2,100 W in a bullet. The shop page says 2,100 W, 13 A and 160 bar, at £309.99. Whether to leave Kärcher is on the Nilfisk vs Kärcher pressure washer page.

Pressure, flow and the cleaning-speed index

On the shop pages the Core 125 is 440 and 312 litres an hour, the Core 150 is 468 and 378, and the Excellent 160 is 450 and 348. The E 145.4 listing says 420–500 litres an hour. Plan on the bullet range or the shop pair, not Amazon’s lone flow field. The cleaning-speed index is a manufacturer figure, not a timed patio. Who should live with a 5 m hose is on the best Nilfisk pressure washer page.

Hose, reel, weight and the socket

The hose changes the job more than an extra 10 bar. The Core 125 carries 5 m of Ultraflex in a pocket, with no reel, and reviewers who walk around a small car without shifting the machine call it short. The Core 150 and the Excellent 160 each list 10 m on a reel. The E 145.4 lists 9 m, and the repeated complaint is a plastic hose that kinks. If you cannot move about 20 kg, leave the E 145.4 and the Excellent 160. Shop current is 5.8 A, 10 A and 13 A. Electrical Safety First expects a UK 3-pin plug and an RCD, and says not to wash in the rain or from a ladder.

Warranty words that are not the same offer

The four listings say two years, plus a possible extra one to three years if you register within 30 days. The Core 150 and Excellent 160 shop pages talk about an extension to five years. A Core 125 note about ten years applied only from 1 March 2026 to 29 June 2026, so on 19 October 2026 it is closed. Price comes last. That day the Core 150 at £202.79 is the clear discount against £235.99, and the E 145.4 has no current shop row. Surfaces and the separate patio head are on the Nilfisk pressure washer for a patio page.

Common questions

Is the Core 125 enough, or do I need the Core 150?
The Core 125 is enough when a 5 m hose, 125 bar and about 6–7 kg cover a small patio, bikes and a car you move the unit around. Take the Core 150 when you want 150 bar, PowerControl and 10 m on a reel, at £202.79 against £235.99. You need that step when the short hose would stop the job. The review samples are 4.6 from 356 against 4.2 from 73.
What does the 10 in Core 150-10 mean?
On order 128471331, the 10 is the hose length in metres. The shop page describes a 10 m Ultraflex hose on a reel, with a 5 m mains cable listed separately. It is not 10 bar and it is not a ten-year warranty. The 5 in Core 125-5 is the same pattern.
Why does the Excellent 160 title say 2300 W?
The collection writes the Excellent band as 2,100–2,300 W, so the title can sit at 2,300 W while the model page and the bullet sit at 2,100 W. Neither figure is a lab measurement. Buy against order 128471413 and the shop page, and read the bullet before you pay £310.00.
Do I need a 13 A socket?
Only if the machine asks for it. The Excellent 160 shop page specifies 13 A at 230–240 V. The Core 125 shop page says 5.8 A and the Core 150 says 10 A. A coiled extension is a poor way to feed 13 A. Use one unwound outdoor-rated lead, and still fit a UK 3-pin plug and an RCD.
Is the 10-year registration offer still open?
No. The ten-year note on the Core 125 ran only from 1 March 2026 to 29 June 2026, so it is closed on 19 October 2026. What remains is two years, plus a possible extra one to three years if you register within 30 days. Core 150 and Excellent 160 shop pages talk about five years. Registration does not decide a split-hose claim.
