Cordless pressure washer buying guide

Updated: 21.10.2026

You are comparing a £25 gun whose title shouts a psi number with a £50 gun that never prints a pressure at all. This cordless pressure washer buying guide is how to read bar, flow, battery count and the water inlet before you trust the title. The Products Compared editorial team wrote it on 19 October 2026 from the twelve listings in our [cordless pressure washer comparison](/hub/compressors/cordless-pressure-washer). It is not a lab test. Shelf prices here run from £19.99 to £49.99. The shortlist is on the [best cordless pressure washer](/hub/compressors/cordless-pressure-washer/sub/cordless-pressure-washer-best) page. If the job is a stained drive, use the [cordless vs mains pressure washer](/hub/compressors/cordless-pressure-washer/sub/cordless-pressure-washer-vs-mains) page before you buy.

What bar and flow mean on a cordless gun

One bar is about 14.5 psi. Adream’s line of 38 bar and 550 psi agrees with that conversion. So does the 60 bar / 870 psi pair printed for Prapark and for Yelyee. Flow is the other half of the job. Yelyee and Prapark list up to 8 litres per minute. JVISION lists 5 litres per minute and no maximum pressure. TUODYF lists 200 litres per hour beside 725 psi. Flouritech prints 300 litres per hour in a bullet and 4 litres per minute in the table.

Battery count before runtime slogans

Two packs in the box are the difference between finishing a small job and walking back to the charger. JVISION includes two 21 V 4.0 Ah batteries. BULLA includes two 4000 mAh packs. Rivlox includes two 4.0 Ah packs. Yelyee, TUODYF and Prapark include two 2.0 Ah packs. A 2.0 Ah pair is a smaller store than a 4.0 Ah pair even when the bullet says “up to 60 minutes”. YKYI and adream include one 4.0 Ah pack, not two. The cordless pressure washer for car washing page treats a two-battery kit as the realistic setup for one car, and it labels that as a rule of thumb.

Bucket, butt or tap

The inlet is per listing, not a feature of the word cordless. Adream and Prapark put a bucket in the box. JVISION, Flouritech, Jwdj and BULLA mention a tap or an adapter. TBRFP describes a bucket or butt and does not list a tap adapter. TUODYF’s own note says not to connect that model to a tap. The listing says the tap pressure is too high, and reviewers describe carrying a bucket. A tap connection is a fittings question. Water Regs UK treats a hose union on the mains as a contamination route if the hose can sit in dirty water. If the listing forbids a tap, use the bucket.

Four listing traps in this set

Four patterns should drop a row even when the price looks sharp. Rivlox prints 1500 PSI in the title and 1500 Pascal in the specification table. Those are not the same figure. Flow is listed as 7 litres per minute, and that is the number you can use. Do not convert the pascal line into a cleaned-up psi. Adream has no star line. TBRFP is 5.0 from one review. YKYI’s flow line is printed as 3 gallons per minute, so it does not sit on the litres scale above. Read bar and flow that agree, then two batteries if you can get them, then an inlet the listing allows.

Common questions

How many bar do I need for a car, and how many for a patio?
Sealey’s light-duty band is 100 bar and below, about 100–200 litres per hour, for furniture and small vehicles. Medium duty, for patios and decks, is about 100–180 bar and 200–450 litres per hour. The consistent claims here top out at 60 bar / 870 psi, which is still light duty. A 1,200 psi title is about 83 bar if it is true, and it is untested here. For a drive, use the versus page.
Why do some titles say 1200 psi if named UK handhelds publish about 20–42 bar?
YKYI and Jwdj claim 1200 psi, which is about 83 bar if the title is true. Named UK handheld pages in this research, including Worx figures around 38–42 bar and a Ryobi bare tool at 41 bar in an Expert Reviews piece, sit lower and cost more. Those pages are not these ASINs. A psi title in this £20–£50 set is a claim, not a measurement, and it still falls inside Sealey’s light-duty ceiling of 100 bar.
Do I need two batteries?
You need two if you want to keep washing while one pack charges. JVISION, BULLA, Rivlox, Yelyee, TUODYF and Prapark include two packs, though the amp-hour figures differ and some listings omit them. YKYI and adream include one 4.0 Ah pack. A single pack can rinse a small area. It is a pause, not a swap, when it fades. Treat every “up to 60 minutes” line as unverified until a review times it.
What does litres per hour change if the psi number is already high?
Flow is how much water moves, not how the title is worded. TUODYF’s 200 litres per hour is a smaller stream than Yelyee’s or Prapark’s 8 litres per minute, even though all three claim a pressure. JVISION states 5 litres per minute and no bar. Flouritech’s 300 litres per hour bullet and 4 litres per minute table do not match, so you cannot add them up. A loud psi line with a thin flow still leaves dirt on a wide panel.
Which listings in this set do not state a pressure at all?
JVISION, BULLA and YIK TUNG do not state bar or psi. JVISION does state 5 litres per minute and has 4.3 from 1,864 reviews. BULLA has 4.2 from 255 reviews and an LCD, and it states neither pressure nor flow. YIK TUNG is 2.8 from 6 reviews and states neither. Rivlox states two pressures that contradict each other. Adream states 38 bar, and it has no star line.
