Best 3.5kW tankless water heater

Updated: 17.10.2026

You have five amazon.co.uk listings and you want the best 3.5kW tankless water heater from that shortlist, not a tour of the whole market. The technical details have to state the watts, and the listing has to name a basin rather than a shower. Star averages here are small and mostly poor. None of these five is the best 3.5 kW heater in the UK, and we did not lab-test them. The full table is the [tankless water heater 3.5kW comparison](/hub/hot-water/tankless-water-heater-3-5kw). What best can mean here

Best, on this page, means the least mismatched listing among the five kept ASINs. 3,500 W has to appear in the technical details, not only in the title, and the maker’s words have to point at one basin and away from a shower. A higher star average does not win if the watts are 3,000. A higher price does not win if the spec table is empty. The only listing that passes both lines also has the weakest star average, 2.2 from 14 reviews. Calling it a top pick does not hide that. A Bosch Tronic Comfort Compact 3.5 kW near £167 on 15 October 2026 is outside this set and not scored here.

The only listing that states 3,500 W

The MRNIU MRNIU-55A, ASIN B0F8HT6V6D, is £42.00. The technical details state 3,500 W, 230 V, 4 L/min, 55°C and 6 bar. The listing says sinks and basins, and not showers, baths or whole-house hot water. On specification it is the top pick in this set. The reviews stop it being a confident one. Fourteen reviews average 2.2 stars, with water reported around 18°C to 30°C at a 55°C setting, and a three-pin plug the spec table does not mention. A sustained 3.5 kW load is about 15.2 A. Buy it for one basin only if an electrician is designing that supply. The rules are on the 3.5kW instant water heater buying guide.

The 3.0 kW neighbours

The Builrand ZXK0410 is £44.99 and states 3,000 W, not 3,500 W. Eight reviews average 2.7 stars. Reports include no useful heat, a leak from the bottom, and one return. It is the smallest box here. It is not a 3.5 kW heater. The Axelrivet YWW-RSQX-01 is the same £44.99 and also states 3,000 W. The title says UK Plug. A bullet says 2.9 L/min. Five reviews average 3.1 stars. Lucas says heat came only at very low pressure and that the draw was about 4,200 W. john davies says it died after about 10 seconds. At the same price, the Axelrivet is the best value of the two 3.0 kW listings. It is still the wrong watts if you came for 3.5 kW.

The two title-only listings

B0G64LCBWG is £52.99 and B0H8Q2SG5H is £60.99. Both titles say 3.5 kW and an electric shower. Neither technical-details block states watts, voltage or flow, and neither has a review line. They share an image URL. Paying £8 more does not add a spec table, and neither page states a size. The three listings that do print one are on the 3.5kW under sink water heater page. Leave when the basin is not the job. Ascot marks its own 3.5 kW models as suitable for a washbasin and unsuitable for a kitchen sink and a shower. What a 55°C display does once the tap is open is on how to use a 3.5kW instant water heater.

Common questions

Which listing in this set actually states 3,500 W?
Only the MRNIU, ASIN B0F8HT6V6D, at £42.00. The technical details say 3,500 W and 230 V, and the listing excludes showers and baths. Fourteen reviews average 2.2 stars. The Builrand and the Axelrivet state 3,000 W. The two Generic ASINs put 3.5 kW in the title and do not put watts in the technical details. A title is not a spec line.
Should I trust 2.2 stars from 14 reviews?
Treat 14 reviews as a small sample and 2.2 as a poor average. The texts repeat lukewarm water, around 18°C to 30°C with the control at 55°C, and they say the unit is not a shower. There is also praise for a compact fit and a remote. Fourteen is more evidence than five, and it is still not a large UK record. No test house has scored this ASIN in the sources we used.
Is the Builrand or the Axelrivet a 3.5 kW heater?
No. Both state 3,000 W, and both are £44.99. The Builrand averages 2.7 from 8 reviews, with little or no heat, one leak, and one return. The Axelrivet averages 3.1 from 5 reviews, states a 2.9 L/min bullet, and the title says UK Plug. One review says the unit drew about 4,200 W. Another says it stopped after about 10 seconds. They are neighbours of this category, not the 3.5 kW class.
Why do two Generic ASINs share an image?
The files for B0G64LCBWG (£52.99) and B0H8Q2SG5H (£60.99) use the same image URL. They are still different ASINs, and the second prints model A-1 and part KM-3c8rCX. Sharing a picture does not make them one listing. Neither file has a review line or a wattage in the technical details. The extra £8.00 does not buy a spec table.
Who should leave this cheap amazon.co.uk set?
Leave if you need a shower, a full kitchen sink, or a larger review count. A Bosch Tronic Comfort Compact 3.5 kW near £167 on 15 October 2026 is not scored here. Stay only if you will match the watts on the spec table to one basin.
Can best here include a shower?
No. The MRNIU listing excludes showers, baths and whole-house hot water, and the reviews that mention a shower agree. The Builrand and Axelrivet talk about sinks and basins. The two Generic titles say electric shower and do not state watts or flow, so they cannot be ranked as showers. A cubicle needs an electric shower in a higher kilowatt class. A warm trickle is the complaint shoppers already write.
