Best oil burner
Updated: 22 October 2026
A rank-1 electric plate, a porcelain gift that still needs a tealight, and a dearer plate that prints a UK plug are not the same job. This page on the best oil burner matches those jobs inside our [oil burner comparison](/hub/heating/oil-burner). Figures are the listings captured on 19 October 2026, not a later snippet and not a lab test. Peter F. checked those listings and public UK sources. Rank 1 electric, if you will switch it off
Geronland’s electric ceramic, B0DSVZP6BC, is the top pick because the listing shows rank 1 in Oil Burners, £14.99, and 4.5 from 643 reviews. The bullets describe a removable grey dish for wax melts, candle cups, or essential oil in water, with a rocker switch on a cord of about 59 inches. There is no naked flame. Automatic shut-off is no, and voltage and wattage are not printed.
A 20 October 2026 snippet showed £13.99, 4.6 from 601 reviews, and a 36-inch cord. This comparison stays on the 19 October extract. Nest & Yard has quoted a similar Geronland line in their own roundup. The listing does not prove a safety test. If you need a printed UK voltage before you plug in, this is the wrong job.
The 4.6 porcelain, if the gift can be a flame
Cello’s Amazing Daughter, B0BH8JLG83, is £11.99 with 4.6 from 330 reviews, the highest star line in the set. It is a tealight lithophane. You supply the tealight, and a candle is not in the box. Two reviews show buyers who read the title as electric. Cello’s own page says no electricity, do not leave it unattended, and stop if the porcelain is chipped. Their page prints 11.5 cm by 9.5 cm, against the amazon field of 9.8 x 9.8 x 11.3 cm.
London Fire Brigade still says put oil burners out when you leave the room and before bed. WD&CD B0G58KKBGH is also £11.99 with 4.5 from 341 reviews, but crack reports make it a poor gift substitute. Wider checks are in the oil burner buying guide.
The printed UK plug, if that line matters more than £22.34
PALANCHY, B09BDX676S, is £22.34 with 4.3 from 5,712 reviews, the deepest trail here. The highlight prints a UK plug, 240 V and 17 W, a removable dish and a roller switch. Automatic shut-off is still no, and the bullets say unplug after use. One verified review said the plate would not heat water with essential oils enough. A printed plug is a labelling check, not an OPSS certificate, and reports on other warmers do not transfer to this ASIN.
A 20 October 2026 snippet showed about £20.05 and 4.3 from 5,713 reviews. The table stays on £22.34 and 5,712. You pay above Geronland for the printed line and the review history, not for a timer. The heat split is on electric wax melt burner vs tealight.
Who to skip
GeeRic’s black ceramic is the best value on the main table at £7.98, with 4.0 from 32 reviews, if you will watch the flame. The size field says 1 x 1 x 1 cm and the bullets say about 9.5 cm, and the green twin has the same clash, so skip it when you want a settled best burner. DICIMI’s Firework, £18.99 and 25 W, with 4.4 from 165 reviews, has a cabinet-burn mention and bulb faults in the file. It is not the rank-1 pick.
Dukhni’s Oriental and Tree of Life stay off this shortlist. Reviews describe spitting when the water runs low. One session is in how to use an oil burner.
Common questions
Which burner is rank 1 in Oil Burners in this set?
Geronland B0DSVZP6BC is the listing that prints rank 1 in Oil Burners in the capture used here, at £14.99 with 4.5 from 643 reviews. Rank is Amazon’s category line on that page, not a test we ran. It is an electric ceramic with a removable dish and automatic shut-off marked no. If a later page shows a different rank or price, keep this comparison on the 19 October 2026 extract until the table is rebuilt.
Which has the highest star line?
Cello Amazing Daughter, B0BH8JLG83, has the highest star average here: 4.6 out of 5 from 330 reviews, at £11.99. That is a tealight porcelain burner, not a plug-in. Stars describe buyer ratings on amazon.co.uk. They do not measure how hot the dish gets, whether the porcelain is chipped, or whether you left a flame in an empty room.
Which electric prints a UK plug?
PALANCHY B09BDX676S prints a UK plug on the highlight, with 240 V and 17 W, at £22.34 and 4.3 from 5,712 reviews. DICIMI prints 220–240 V and 25 W, without that same UK-plug highlight. Geronland does not print voltage or wattage on the listing in this extract. A printed plug line is something you can check. It is not proof of a BS 1363 test on that unit.
Is the Cello Amazing Daughter electric?
No. It is a porcelain tealight burner. Cello’s own page says there is no electricity, and the amazon listing expects you to add a tealight. Two buyers in the review file thought the title meant a plug-in warmer. If you need a mains dish, look at Geronland or PALANCHY instead, and still plan to switch the plate off yourself.
Is Geronland a good pick if I want no naked flame?
It is the flame-free pick to start with in this set, at the rank-1 price, if you accept that automatic shut-off is no and that voltage is not printed. The removable dish is described for wax, candle cups, or oil in water. You still unplug or switch off when you finish. No flame does not mean the ceramic stays cool, and it does not mean the listing has been certified for overnight use.
