Best recessed ground lights

Updated: 22 October 2026

You want a short list, and the search results still offer one best in-ground light as if a deck, a 12 V marker, and a tyre were the same job. These best recessed ground lights are conditional picks from nine amazon.co.uk listings, not a UK winner. Prices run from £15.99 for a single mini marker to £95.25 for six mains wells. The checks that put supply before load sit on the [recessed ground light buying guide](/hub/garden-decor/recessed-ground-light/sub/recessed-ground-light-buying-guide). The rows themselves sit on the [recessed ground light comparison](/hub/garden-decor/recessed-ground-light). Peter F. compared those listings. A deck GU10 you can relamp

For a deck or path on 240 V, where you will buy the lamps yourself, the Auraglow four-pack at £59.99 is the clearest UK-reviewed holder in this set. It is 4.3 from 52 ratings, mostly from the United Kingdom, with a 1 m three-core flex and a GU10 for lamps 30–75 mm long up to 35 W. Bulbs are not in the box. UK reviews say the lid screws cannot be reached once the body is buried, so a failed lamp means digging the unit out. The EBION four-pack at £37.99 is the cheaper empty-holder alternative, with a cut-out of about 7 cm and a 7 W cap. Ignore the attribute that prints 11,200 lumen: no lamp is in the carton. Skip Auraglow if you need to change the bulb after burial. Skip EBION if you need more than 7 W or a bulb already named in the box.

A GU10 that states a bulb in the box

Both YOVGQOLV listings, model ST6115, state a 5 W 3000 K GU10 and say you can change it. The single is £19.99 and the four-pack is £49.99, on 220–240 V, with a body given as 14 × 10 × 10 cm. Neither page has a review line or a cut-out, and the 1,000 kg bullet has no speed or test report. Measure the hole on the live page before you cut.

A small 12 V marker, not a flood

The CNBRIGHTER mini at £15.99 is about 20 × 38 mm, a sealed 1 W LED listed at 87 lumen, and the bullet says 12 V DC, not 12 V AC. The line is 4.0 from 92 ratings. UK comments include early failures, a hot body, and a short lead. The listing says IP67 and reviews say IP65. The honeycomb well at £21.99 adds a bullet that allows 12 V AC, on 5.0 from three ratings and no text. Skip both if you wanted a flood.

What not to crown

ledscom.de at £95.25 publishes the fullest hole in the set, 98 mm by 106 mm, but its 17 ratings are from Italy and France and the bulbs are not included. HIBOITEC at £89.99 is 4.6 from 19 United States ratings, and the listing disagrees on whether 12, 6, or 9 lights arrived. The transformer is not in the kit. None of the nine is evidenced under a tyre. If a tyre must pass, use recessed ground lights for a driveway. If the open question is AC against DC, use 12V vs mains recessed ground lights.

Common questions

Which one includes a 5 W GU10?
Both YOVGQOLV listings state a 5 W 3000 K GU10 in the box. The single is £19.99 and the four-pack is £49.99, model ST6115, on 220–240 V. The bullet says the lamp can be changed. There is no review line and no cut-out on either page, so you still confirm the hole before you order a pack of four. The sealed CNBRIGHTER and HIBOITEC lights are not this answer.
Which is the small 12 V marker, and who should skip it?
The CNBRIGHTER mini at £15.99 is the small one: 1 W, about 87 lumen, roughly 20 × 38 mm, 12 V DC only. Skip it if your transformer is 12 V AC, if you need a path flood, or if you need a fitting you can relamp. The 4.0 from 92 ratings includes UK reports of early failure and a hot body. The honeycomb at £21.99 is a slightly larger 1 W well with almost no review text, not a brighter class of light.
Why is the 4.6-star set not the top of this list?
HIBOITEC's 4.6 comes from 19 ratings whose texts are headed United States, not the United Kingdom. The same listing disagrees on whether you get 12, 6, or, in one review, 9 lights, and it omits the transformer and the wire. A higher star line on a non-UK sample does not outrank 4.3 from 52 mostly UK texts when you are buying for a British garden. The pack-count clash is enough on its own to keep it off a shortlist that assumes a fixed number of fittings.
Is there a driveway winner in this set?
No. Auraglow, both YOVGQOLV rows, and ledscom.de print kilogram claims without a speed or a test report. A UK buyer returned the Auraglow set from a gravel driveway because the recessed lens collected water and dirt. EBION and the low-voltage wells state no load at all. IP67 is a temporary water test, not a vehicle rating. If a tyre must pass, none of these nine is the evidenced fitting.
Which listings have no UK review text?
YOVGQOLV has no review line on either pack. The honeycomb CNBRIGHTER is 5.0 from three ratings and no text. HIBOITEC's texts are United States, plus two short Germany notes. ledscom.de's texts are Italy and France. The mini CNBRIGHTER, the side-slot well, EBION, and Auraglow are the rows that actually include UK comments, and those comments are not all favourable.
