Best silicone oil on Amazon: a role for each bottle

Updated: 23 October 2026

You want the best silicone oil on Amazon, and the results mix a treadmill pipette, a window spray, a pouring additive and a gun-oil dropper as if one winner could cover all four. It cannot. A bottle that quiets a walking pad is the wrong film in an acrylic cup, and a 4.9 from eight ratings is not a stronger buy than a 4.5 from several hundred. Prices and stars are the amazon.co.uk listing figures. The scored table is the [silicone oil comparison](/hub/fillers-adhesives-and-sprays/silicone-oil). We did not oil a belt or run a pour. No single best silicone oil

The top pick is Viscos-350, for a home treadmill or walking pad whose manual allows silicone oil, not for a hinge or a canvas. It is £4.99 for 100 ml, it states 350 cSt, the origin line says the United Kingdom, and the rating is 4.5 from 675 reviews. Reviewers say 15 cm misses the middle of some belts. Best value is different. Lubrisolve at £22.99 for 1 litre is about £2.30 per 100 ml of neat oil if you will use the litre on small parts. It has no centistoke line and no applicator in the specification. If you only need one belt service, the £4.99 bottle is the smaller spend. The criteria are on the silicone oil buying guide.

Treadmill bottles on this shelf

For occasional oiling, Viscos-350 states 350 cSt and a 15 cm applicator at £4.99. Prounol’s 100 ml is £6.49 with a 16 cm applicator if you are under two hours a week. Skip it if you are buying because of 18,501 ratings. That line is shared with the 200 ml ASIN. For heavier use, Prounol 200 ml is £10.49, or Limino and DecorRom are £8.99. Limino then says the lubricant is mainly for equipment that needs non-silicone lubricant. DecorRom’s liquid-volume field says 200 centilitres against a 200 ml title. Neither prints centistokes. FloraVigo is 4.9 from 8 ratings, with a 140 ml title against a field of 100.

Spray, art, gun oil, and the litre

Use the 3-IN-ONE silicone spray, £9.78 for 400 ml, for a uPVC window, a hinge, a lock or a rubber seal. It is 4.6 from 2,383 ratings. Skip it for a belt unless your manual allows a spray. The straw goes missing and the pattern is wide. Halfords lists a 400 ml professional silicone spray around £9.99 with flammable-aerosol wording. That is a different shelf snapshot. For acrylic cells, Pébéo at £6.80 for 45 ml prints 3 to 8 drops, and too much oil crazes the paint. Nicpro at £10.99 adds a treadmill line you should not treat as a belt kit. Dingsen at £13.89 is 4.9 from 32 ratings, only three of them UK. Abbey at £7.21 for 30 ml is for O-rings, not metal-to-metal parts. Lubrisolve is the bulk bottle only when a litre will be used.

Ratings that look stronger than they are

A 4.9 is not automatically better than a 4.5. FloraVigo’s 4.9 sits on 8 ratings. Dingsen’s 4.9 sits on 32. Viscos-350’s 4.5 sits on 675, the spray’s 4.6 on 2,383, and Pébéo’s 4.4 on 2,170. Prounol’s 18,501 is shared by both sizes, so it is not a size-specific count. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 expects the description to match the goods, which is why a 140 ml title against a field of 100, or a 30 ml title against a unit count of 1050 ml, matters more than the star. We did not re-test these oils.

Common questions

Which bottle is the better buy for a home treadmill?
If the manual allows silicone oil and you oil occasionally, Viscos-350 at £4.99 for 100 ml is the top pick here because it states 350 cSt and includes a 15 cm applicator, at 4.5 from 675 ratings. Prounol 100 ml at £6.49 has a 16 cm neck if you need a little more reach. Neither fixes a deck the manual says is waxed.
Is Prounol’s huge review count a reason to prefer it?
Not on its own. Both the 100 ml and the 200 ml listings show 4.6 from 18,501, and the first 50 texts match. That is one shared stream, not two independent samples. Use the fill and the applicator to choose between £6.49 and £10.49, and ignore the count as a reason to beat a bottle with its own 675 ratings.
When is the litre the better buy?
When you will use it. Lubrisolve at £22.99 is about £2.30 per 100 ml, against about £5 for a 100 ml treadmill bottle, and UK reviews mention small parts, fitness kit and plastic trim. It is the best value in that bulk sense. It is the wrong buy for a single belt service, because the specification lists no applicator and no centistokes.
Which listing is the spray, not the oil?
The 3-IN-ONE silicone lubricant, model 44015, is the 400 ml tin at £9.78. Every other kept listing is a bottle of oil. Buy the spray for hinges, uPVC and rubber seals. Do not buy it as a counted dose for a belt or a paint cup.
What should I buy for acrylic cells?
Pébéo at £6.80 if you want the maker’s 3-to-8-drop ceiling and a pipette in the lid. Nicpro at £10.99 if you want roughly 210 ml and you will practise the mix, including the one-drop-per-10 ml bullet. Skip Dingsen if you are chasing 4.9 from 32 ratings. None of these is a treadmill applicator.
