Blink video doorbell chime extender

Updated: 22 October 2026

You hear the Blink on your phone and still miss the person at the door, because the kitchen never gets a sound of its own. A Blink video doorbell chime extender is the terminal kit on amazon.co.uk that adds a plug-in indoor chime. Blink’s UK support says third-party wireless chimes are not compatible, and these listings still sell a converter for the rear terminals. This page holds both facts. It is not a lab test. This page is from Peter F., editor for DIY & tools, using the kept amazon.co.uk listings and Blink’s UK support pages on 20 October 2026. Hardwired mode, and the wires you must not stack

B8+B22A names Mount with Wiring. WET03A names Installation with Wiring. On the B23A and WET03A pages, polarity is described as irrelevant. A battery-only Blink has nothing for the converter to draw from, and English WET03B reviews say an unwired Blink will not power the transmitter. The second exclusion is a Blink already connected to a chime. WET03A forbids that case. The £15.99 Besimlive B22 says the old conductors come off first, and BITIWEND’s B23A-style note says the same if the doorbell is already on a chime or an external supply. If you cannot find the breaker, the chime looks like mains, or the tenancy forbids the work, stop.

Which box is which on amazon.co.uk

BITIWEND B23A is £5.99 with one receiver and £9.99 with two, both at 4.1 from 106, so that is one pool priced twice. B8+B22A is also £5.99 and states 433 MHz, but its 4.4 from 311 includes older wireless-kit reviews that are not Blink installs. PHYSEN WET03A at £8.49 is two receivers and a 16 cm cable, and it excludes a Blink already on a wired chime. The model field says 1T1 while the style says two receivers. WET03B-1T1-UK at £7.21 and WET03B-1T2-UK at £13.29 share 3.9 from 726 and already contain a Ring pairing failure. Besimlive B22 at £9.99 shows 4.8 from 42, with review text that is not in English. The £15.99 B22 names Blink 2nd Gen and has no star line in the raw export.

What UK reviews keep reporting

On the shared B23A text, some people pair once the wires are on the Blink, and others never get a tone. On the £15.99 Besimlive, fourteen UK reviews split between a five-minute success and units that were dead or would not pair. BITIWEND’s five-second reset belongs to that kit only. A lead that stops the doorbell sitting flush appears on B23A and on WET03A. False rings show up in the PHYSEN pools, including a unit that sounded when the wires were shorted. None of these receivers shows the camera or joins the Blink app.

Common questions

Will this work on a battery Blink with no wires?
No. These converters need the rear terminals of a Blink in a wiring mode, so a battery-only unit with an empty bracket has nothing to power the transmitter. Blink’s UK support also says third-party wireless chimes are not compatible, which is a separate limit even when wires exist. A Battery Doorbell 2K+ can, on Blink’s own page, ring an existing in-home chime at 8–24 V AC and 40 VA maximum. That is not a promise that a BITIWEND or PHYSEN receiver will pair.
What is Mount with Wiring?
Mount with Wiring is the app step named on BITIWEND’s B8+B22A listing, the £5.99 kit that also states 433 MHz. PHYSEN’s WET03A uses different words for the same idea: Installation with Wiring. You are telling the Blink to expect the low-voltage pair, not adding the receiver as a device inside the Blink app. The receiver still pairs on its own radio. If the app has no wiring option, these listings are describing a doorbell you do not have.
Can I leave my old chime connected?
Not on the listings that forbid it. PHYSEN WET03A excludes a Blink that is already on a wired chime. The £15.99 Besimlive B22 says the old conductors come off first. BITIWEND’s B23A-style note says the same for a doorbell already on a chime or an external supply. Leaving both sets on is the arrangement those pages tell you to avoid.
Does Blink support this accessory?
Blink’s UK chime page says third-party wireless chimes are not compatible. Support that does exist is for an in-home chime on 8–24 V AC, up to 40 VA, on the 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, and Battery Doorbell 2K+ models Blink names. These boxes are a separate transmitter and plug-in receiver. You may hear them after a hardwired install, and you should not expect Blink to troubleshoot the receiver if it fails. Blink also says a Wired Doorbell 2K+ does not ring a mechanical chime.
Will it show video or appear in the Blink app?
No. These are short-range radio chimes. They do not extend your Wi-Fi, show the camera, or join the Blink app as a Blink device. The picture stays on the phone alert you already use. When the pair works, you get a plug-in sound in a room with a socket. A 110 dB line on the listing was not measured in a UK home for this comparison.
