Leave before you compare prices. SDS Plus is the 10 mm shank for anchors, brackets, and light chiselling. A pistol-grip hammer under about 5 kg is usually Plus. Fixing a batten into brick does not need a 7 to 10 kg mains hammer. The SDS Max vs SDS Plus page is where you stop if the bit in your hand is 10 mm. Plus bits do not seat in these chucks. An adaptor is a compromise, not a reason to buy Max so you can keep a drawer of Plus steel. Stay here when the hole is around 20 to 40 mm in concrete, or you need a chisel on a small patch.

Buy the Makita HR4013C/2 if you already own Max steel, you want 240 V on the title, and £608.93 is acceptable. Bullets state two modes, 40 mm, and a 105 mm TCT core. They do not print joules. The UK manual's 8.0 joule figure is not an Amazon bullet, and the US 11.4 joule line stays out. At 6.9 kg it is the lightest here. The case holds grease and a depth stop, not a bit or a chisel. The 227 ratings are largely not from the United Kingdom. Those texts mention a motor that smoked, disappointing drilling in thick concrete, and a jammed chuck. Skip it for a first-day bit, a 110 V site, or a price near the other two.

What a best-of list is mixing in

A list that mixes a cordless drill, a demolition hammer, the Einhell, and the Draper 81077 is mixing machines. The Draper is a chisel-only breaker. It is not a rotary hammer.
