Beer pong table buying guide

Updated: 23 October 2026

You are choosing a table for a UK flat or a garden, and the amazon.co.uk results mix a real table with a mat, a cup pack and a ping-pong table. This beer pong table buying guide is the order to use before you pay: confirm it is a table, then read the centimetres, then the surface and the box list. The [beer pong table comparison](/hub/diy-supplies/beer-pong-table) ranks the three listings we kept, with shelf prices captured on 19 October 2026 in GBP. A qualifying purchase can earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. We compared those listings and the review notes stored with them. We did not run a lab test.

A table, not a mat or a ping-pong table

Start by dropping anything that is not the surface the cups sit on. A mat, a cup pack or a tablecloth needs a table you already own. A catering trestle, a table-tennis table and a 4-in-1 game table are different products even when the photo looks social. If the included-components line does not name a beer pong table, you are buying something else. A short kitchen table does not grow because you lay a mat on it.

Length, width and the 70 cm height

The BPONG World Series list specifies 8 ft by 2 ft by 27.5 in, about 244 × 61 × 70 cm. Eight feet is 243.8 cm. UK shops often print 240 × 60 cm and still say 8 ft. Treat that as the usual British rounding, and treat anything near 166 cm as a different object. The GOODS+GADGETS size line is 240 × 58 × 70 cm, so the width sits slightly inside 60 cm or 61 cm. Both titles say the height adjusts for sitting or standing, and the size line prints only 70 cm. Oypla's 54–70 cm range, 9.4 kg and 20 kg load at £61.99 stay on Oypla's page. If you need a sitting height, you need a range on the listing you buy.

Hard top, holes, fold and the empty box

A bounce needs a hard, level top. The folding listings describe a sealed surface that wipes after a spill. A PVC raft will not return the ball the same way. Neither folding listing mentions cup holes, so this is a flat top, and the easier re-rack. Assembly is listed as not required. Folded size and weight are not stated. Oypla's fold of 62.5 × 61 × 13.8 cm is not model 95845663. Cups and balls are off the included line. A UK review of the Henbrandt float says they are bought separately. Budget for 20 cups and 40 mm balls. The bounce rule is on the how to play beer pong page.

Apply the checks, and do not crown a winner

Do not crown a winner on this page. Both GOODS+GADGETS colours are model 95845663 at £66.66: 240 cm, slightly narrow of 60 cm, a wipeable top, no cups, and no printed height range, weight or folded size. Amazon.co.uk shows 4.4 from 4 ratings. The only stored review text is dated in Germany on 20 September 2026. The Henbrandt float is £14.99, about 166 × 77 cm and 790 g, with use set to outdoor. It fails the 240 cm test. That question is on the folding or inflatable beer pong table page.

Four lines before the basket

Before the basket, confirm four lines. It is a table, not a mat. The length is about 240 cm if you wanted the UK 8 ft class, and the width is printed. The top is hard if anyone will bounce a ball. Cups are in the box or already in the cupboard. A missing line is unknown.

Common questions

What size is a proper beer pong table?
A proper table, on the BPONG World Series list, is 8 ft by 2 ft by 27.5 in, about 244 × 61 × 70 cm. UK shops often print 240 × 60 cm and still say 8 ft. A 166 cm inflatable is not that class. Read the centimetres on the listing, because the word official in a title is not a measurement.
Is 240 cm the same as 8 ft?
No. Eight feet is 243.8 cm. A printed 240 cm top is about 4 cm short of that, which is the rounding many UK folding tables use. It is close enough for a house game if you accept the trim. It is not a claim that the table was measured against the tournament sheet.
Why does a 58 cm width matter?
Two feet is about 61 cm, and many UK 8 ft tables print 60 cm. The GOODS+GADGETS size line is 58 cm wide. Ten cups can still form a triangle, with less spare surface at the edges. If you wanted the 60 cm class, 58 cm is a reason to notice the listing, not a reason to imagine a wider top.
Do I need cup holes?
You need holes only if you want the cups locked in place. A flat sealed top lets you slide cups when you re-rack. Neither folding listing here mentions holes. If a photo shows wells and the bullets do not, trust the bullets and check the table when it arrives.
Are cups and balls in the box?
Not on these three listings. The folding pages list the beer pong table only. The inflatable page does not confirm cups, and a UK review says they are separate. Buy cups and balls yourself if the included line does not name them.
What if the title says height-adjustable and the size line shows 70 cm?
The title is claiming a range the size line does not show. 70 cm is a normal standing height. A sitting height is not a number you can plan around until that listing prints it. Another brand's 54–70 cm range belongs to that brand, not to model 95845663.
